Class Descriptions:

Please note that the modification of poses and the use of props are available and guided by instructors in every class. Class levels are not strict definitions.

Supported: Beginners and experienced students practicing at a gentler pace with the use of props in all postures to enhance stabilization and mobility.

Beginning: A class for those new to yoga or new to the Iyengar method. All students are welcome in this class.

Basics: Classic foundational poses for those new to Iyengar yoga or experienced students returning after an absence or injury, or those looking for a more moderately paced class. Beginners are welcome in this class.

Level 1/2: A mixed level class with beginner and intermediate level students practicing all categories of poses.

Open Level: Beginner, Intermediate, and advanced level students practicing all categories of poses including seated, standing, forward bends, backbends, twists, inversions and restoratives.

Level 2 and 2/3: Intermediate and Advanced level students practicing all poses including backbends and inversions.

Pranayama: For students with experience in practicing asana. Pranayama, the fourth limb of yoga, is the practice of meditative breath patterns in supine (reclined) or seated yoga postures.  The practice of pranayama can bring clarity of mind, emotional stability, and an improved lung capacity.

Prenatal/Postnatal: For students of all yoga experience levels during the childbearing years. Infants are welcome.

Drop-in Saturdays: This is an Open Level yoga class with rotating teachers who will lead a planned sequence of asanas for all levels of students. No make-ups please. If possible, please register by 5 pm the Friday before the class. Any cancellations will be noted by 8 am Saturday.

All classes are available for drop-ins or make-ups except those marked FULL.

  • Drop-in Saturdays (September 20, 27, October 11, 25), 9:30 - 11:00 AM, In-person only, OPEN LEVEL, Rotating Teachers

This Open Level Drop-in class will have rotating teachers each Saturday and each will lead a planned sequence of asanas for all levels of students. All categories of poses may be included and students may practice the version of the pose that is most appropriate for them. No make-ups please. These are Drop-in classes, $25, though we ask that you register by Friday at 5 pm, if possible. We need a minimum number of students registered to run the class. Any class cancellations will be noted on the website by 8 am on the morning of the class.

Individual drop-in class: $25

7-week Session (Marly and Pam): $154

6-week Session (Alicia and Marlene) : $132

7-week Pranayama: $105

Pranayama drop-in class: $18

Pre/Postnatal Packages: 5 for $110, 10 for $200

Policies and procedures:

  1. Pre-registration is encouraged. Please register online above through REGISTER link. Drop-in classes are available by walking in or registering ahead for a Zoom class.

  2. If fee amounts prevent you from registering for yoga, please request a reduced fee through the REGISTER form of the class you would like to attend.

  3. You may pay online through our website with a credit card or PayPal, or bring cash or bring/mail a check (to the instructor) to the studio at or before the first class.

  4. For online yoga classes you will receive a Zoom link via email from your teacher. Video recordings of the class sent to registered students are viewable for 14 days.

  5. All purchased yoga classes expire at the end of the session. Make-ups for missed classes are available within the current session in another regular weekly class.

  6. Requests for refunds must be made before the end of the second week of the session.

  7. Make-up classes can be done with any teacher within the current session.

  8. Yoga props are provided. You may bring your own mat if you prefer.

  9. Yoga is practiced in bare feet. Please do not wear any perfume or scented products in the studio.

  10. Any exceptions to these policies are at the discretion of the teacher.

  11. Weather-related closings or class changes will be highlighted on the website.
