Special topic workshops and classes are offered periodically throughout the year at Yoga Focus Collective. They may be in-person only, online only or both in-person and online. Inversions: Preparation, Practice, and Modification WITH MARLY S.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 27, 2025 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, IN-STUDIO AND ONLINE WITH RECORDING, $45
Padmasana in Salamba Sarvangasana with chair
These workshops are available to students who have practiced Iyengar Yoga for at least a year. Students with injuries or conditions that contraindicate the practice of Padmasana (Lotus Pose) or any form of inversion should not attend. However, students who are challenged by, or not yet routine practitioners of, the previously mentioned poses should absolutely attend! Both workshops will focus on how to prepare and work up to the given asanas, methods of practice and modifications for specific challenges or conditions. If you are not sure whether you are a good candidate, please reach out to Marly. The workshops will be in-person and online, and a recording will be made available for 30 days following each. Please register no later than the Monday before the workshop.
Restorative Yoga Workshop with Pam Lindberg
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2025 6:30 - 8:00 PM, IN-PERSON ONLY, $35
This workshop will feature a sequence of restorative yoga poses inviting rest and rejuvenation for the body and mind. Yoga props will be set up to support and align the body in yoga postures to allow for longer holds. Restorative yoga has the ability to bolster your well-being by softening and opening tense areas, stimulating circulation and creating a feeling of contentment. Practicing restorative poses regularly is an important part of a yoga practice. For students with all levels of yoga experience.
Focus on Feet Workshop with Alicia Rowe
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2025, 10:00 am - 12:00 PM, IN-PERSON ONLY, $45
Experience better balance, stability, mobility, and improved ease in ankles, knees, and hips by putting feet first in this sequence of supine, seated, and standing poses. In Iyengar Yoga, feet are the foundation. This workshop emphasizes skillful action and awareness of the feet in each pose, teaching us to build better asanas from the ground up. For students of all levels. Beginners welcome.
